Why We Created These Packs
Like many collectors, we started our Pokémon journey opening Base Set packs in the late '90s and trading holos in the school playground. Today, original Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) booster packs have become rare collectibles, sealed packs can sell for hundreds, even thousands. That’s why we created the PokéStrategy Mystery Pack! A curated experience that channels the nostalgia of vintage Pokémon, without the hefty price tag. These packs are built by collectors, for collectors.
The Legacy of WOTC Packs
The WOTC era (1999–2003) includes some of the most iconic sets in Pokémon TCG history: Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym Heroes, Neo Genesis, and more. These sets introduced beloved cards like Charizard, Mewtwo, Dragonite, and Gengar, and laid the foundation for Pokémon's massive global success. Original WOTC holos are now among the most coveted cards in the hobby (especially in mint condition).

Each pack contains 11 authentic WOTC-era Pokémon cards, hand-picked from Base Set, Jungle, and Fossil. No modern reprints, only original vintage cards. All cards are Lightly Played to Near Mint with no damage, bends, or creases. We've sourced these from our own personal collections as well as trusted vintage suppliers around the world. Every pack is unique.
1 in 3 packs contains a guaranteed vintage rare holo, including Base Set 1st Edition and Shadowless variants. That means a shot at iconic holos for a fraction of the cost of opening sealed vintage packs.
